Joomla - No line break after intro text and body text

Any of you guys have the problem where joomla randomly decides when or when not to put a line break between your into text and you body text?

I'm trying to get it so it sets a line break every time.

One way i figured out is to make the into text into a heading format, but is there another way? (i really don't feel like changing all of my content item's intro text).

In joomla 1.5 to seperate between the intro an the body text, is to click on "Read More" which is located at the bottom of the text editor's window.

I have joomla 1.0 and i don't see a "Read More" located at the bottom of the editor's window. I do see it in global but that's not what i want..am i really going to have to insert H4 in all of my intro text to make it have a line break?

with joomla 1.0 the text editor has 2 windows. The first one is for the intro and the second one is for the body text.

 

i know, my question is how do i separate that text with a line break.
