guys i'm having a problem with the preinstalled newsflash mod. when i shift to another template, the newsflash disappears. how can you make sure that the newsflash mod appears on the first page, with EVERY template you use?
how many templates have u tried this with? some templates will overwrite some modules because of predefined positioning... but there are thousands of templates, just install like 100 and ull be ok, unless you absolutely 100% need to use this one template, in which cause u just gotta learn to modify the settings for this module...
Just make sure the module name for the position you would like to use newsflash for all the templates are the same so that no matter which template or template s you are using, the module will always be there.
If you are using the newsflash's default position (top), then the template you are using may not have the "top" module position included. You can search the templates source for something like 'top' or mosLoadModules ( 'top'. If it's not there, then you'll either need to change the modules position in the module manager or add the 'top' module position to the template source.
