when writing a new article, I know Joomla has options to use keywords and meta descriptions for each different page. But all this does is ADD to your main sites meta keywords and description....How can I make it not do that? I want each page to have its own description and keywords.

In the admin panel of Joomla, there is an option to insert individualized meta tags for each article.

Yeah I knew that. The problem was that if you have the meta tags in global configuration set --- Then they're going to be on every page of your site. And if you insert meta tags for each specific page, then they just add on to your global meta tags.

The fix for this is to not use global meta tags in global configuration. Use the sh404sef meta tag editor for your homepage only, then make all your meta tags in each article :)
now onto my next seo issue "fireboard"
    *sighs*
    Thanks for your reply.

Let me check on that issue. I know I am doing it right because all my meta tags are separate from the meta tags from the ones I write in global configuration.
