    Hi

Recently something has happened and the log-in for my site is not working. When you try to log in you get a "page cannot be displayed" message. I think it's a 500 Internal Server message.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Do you mean the admin login? Try checking to make sure that you have correct permissions on your files/folders, particularly in the administration folder. You would need 755 permissions for folders and 644 or 755 for files. Internal Server Errors are normally caused by world writable permissions (777) but if it simply says "page cannot be displayed" as you said, it's probably not that. It could just be that something's gone wrong with your Joomla installation. Did you update Joomla recently? If not, try updating it to the latest version and see if that resolves the problem. If not, maybe do a backup restore or ask your host to do it for you if you don't have a local backup available.
