Under my web hosting venture I am pushing the Joomla CMS application as part of an incentive to sign with Hosting-Q. I have read some really great things about this software package and have reviewed several sites that were developed using the application. My question-- I am a little concerned that the learning curve maybe a little steep even though I have read-- this is not the case. I use the unix editor vi and text editors for all of my site development and will not be using this package-- but I did demo it-- and found it to be pretty easy... How about you? Do you like it and is it a notable incentive? Q...
It's east to set up a basic website - which is waht a newbie needs to do. Though to take advantage of some of it's more in depth features it takes a bit more hard work and learning. I found it the most user friendly of all the CMS that I road tested though.
I like what you have done with your site. I am also impressed with the Joomla Forum component you have integrated. Have you had any problems with server resources and the forum? Q...
To tell the truth the site is still in it's final development stages. I've heard that if you want maximum integration with Joomla then the forum I've used, Simpleboard Is the way to go. I much prefer VBulletin though, so I'm going to experiment with VB and a VB Bridge component and see how that works out.
