Joomla - How to install?

    After reading these threads I've decided to try Joomla. I downloaded the latest stable package, but now I can't figure out how to install it.

    I see no exe on which to click.

    I have not been able to find instructions on the Joomla site on how to install.

    I have not been able to find a thread here on DP on how to install.

    It is my understanding that this a package that I can use to build and manage large, complicated websites.


    Would someone be able to tell me how to install this application? Or direct me to a site where I can learn?

    I've never installed it, but if you go to http://help.joomla.org/ and go to Installation on the left hand side, it should tell you what to do.

    Upload the files to your server, go to your web address and follow the instructions to chmod whatever files they tell you to. Then, put the code in your configuration.php
