So I'm a Joomla newbie, just started playing with it last night. I installed OpenSEF, edited the .htaccess file and that part seems to be working fine.

I installed a template, made some adjustments to it, all that worked out fine. Now my problem is with directories, for example, my Home button's link is mysite dot com/home/index.php but I don't have a /home folder in my joomla direction.

Also, any new items that I publish is linked(Read More..) to a /latest/ folder, which doesnt exist.

Now it was my understanding that Joomla would create this folders as I generated content, no? My only guess is that Joomla doesnt have permission to create these new folders and .html files?

    Any help would be appreciated
    Bryan

all that links actually not a physical path.
it's generated by opensef. OpenSEF (or other SEF component) rewrites Joomla! URLs to be Search Engine Friendly

that is default we need to change manually edit in .htacc.. just leave it.when u typr domain name is it redirecting to domain.com/home or just when u click on home it is showing that URL?.That latest files path can be fixed.
