    Hello,

    I have Joomla 1.5.9

I tried to install a Google Adsense Module called Clicksafe from Joomlaspan

I downloaded the package to my desktop, then went to Joomla Admin to "Extension-Install", browsed for the package, clicked "Upload file & Install" but then I got a red box with an error.

"Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package."

    What is the problem?

    Thanks

Maybe you need in the .rar or .zip file is another zip archive. You have to upload the zip archive which has the .xml file in it.
At least that problem i have sometimes.

I thought that might be it also. .... I tried that, I unzipped the file saw that the .xml file was there, so it isn't double zipped, if you will.

If you want to install it and not able to do it via back end (admin penal) than unzip this folder and upload this folder via ftp manager in your into your module folder into it. Hope it works.

    Thanks

could be a couple of things

it may made for joomla 1.0 if thats the case you will need to turn on legacy mode in joomla 1.5.9

goto your plugins manager a legacy toggle will be available there

or alternatively toggle your ftp settings on/off in your site config

FYI i am also based in San Antonio! :)

BTW if you can't solve the problem, try a different module.
I use easyadsense for my ad units and a plugin to display ads in articles

If I can't solve an issue at one of my joomla sites, I run to joomla.org forum and ask the experts from there. I usually get a detailed solution to a problem.

No problem. There is also a nice plugin which will insert adsense into your article. You can cchoose at which place in the article you want it. Must lookup the name.

    Its called multi-ads.
