Is it possible to convert my joomla database to wordpress?

I'm having problems with joomla and so I want to switch my site to wordpress but I already have around 500 posts in it.

    How will I do this?

Or can I just get the posts content and upload it to wordpress?

    is this possible?

Hmm never heard of this possibility...

Someone is working on a wordpress component to Joomla. Its called
    Mojoblog at Joomlify.com.

I don't like the way Joomla handles content/articles much but its got some
cool components and modules. And you can make a Joomla site not look like a blog...

im sure it can be done, cant be that hard to write a program that copies code from your joomla db and places it in a certain way into your wordpress db to meet wp standards
