Joomla Database Search

    I'm looking for a simple way to provide a searchable database that I can publish in Joomla. All of the forms and cart applications seem to be too canned or for only one purpose or another. I can't believe that there isn't some easy database search component that someone has written somewhere.

    Does anybody know of such a thing?

    Yes I tried fabrik and it might be possible to do all kinds of nifty things but they give you the component then charge you for the documentation. I'd be willing to pay if I knew it would work but I won't pay for the docs on an open source component just to see if it will work.

    I think I have this working now with DBQ after taking a second look... It's a lot of work but it's doable.
