joomla customization

    i have a site using joomla 1.7.the problem is,i dont know how to customize it.when i want to put extension to my side bar like visitor stats or anything else,it show nothing.there a totally 4 ,when i want to put more,nothing show

    What happens if you unpublish an existing module? Does it go away?

    If you unpublish a module it simply doesn't get loaded and shown. You can simply go back and re-publish again as you wish.

    Read some tutorials. or watch some videos

    Youtube, Lynda.com have some great video tutorials on joomla.

    And you can always google anything you want.
