So something about Joomla is really bugging me. I can't seem to change the image that is embedded in the url. I don't know what that image is called. I always have called it the url image. I am talking about the small joomla logo that is in the URL Bar. Please, if anyone knows where to go to change it in the joomla site I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance
The image called favicon go to directory where your joomla is installed example http://"joomla directory"/images/favicon.ico now change this image with you own favicaon.ico image To create your own favicon image go here http://www.htmlkit.com/services/favicon/
It is the favicon.ico Search Google for that and you should be able to find your answer Hope this helps.
Well it's nice at least that you see the icon and want to change it, I hate seeing sites where they haven't changed the fav icon so you can see the Joomla logo up there - mostly like because they never noticed it, most likely because they only ever us Internet Explorer - ewwww, dirty. P.S. If you ever forget where your favicon is it tells you in the meta tags if you view the source code: <link rel="icon" href="images/favicon.ico" type="image/ico" />
