    Hello
I have a problem with joomla component installation
When I try to install some components I receive different errors:

    - Failed to move uploaded file to /media directory.
    - Failed to create directory /home/opentwot/public_html/web /components/com_fire board/
    - xml setup file missing

The directory permissions are ok. In the past I was able to install components
    Please help me.

    Regards.

if you are going to install fire board just give up...is not worth,,,try to use SMF is also free, and you can make a bridge with your Joomla website(to have a single registration system) ;)

this must be a problem with your host, try to set the safemode to off...or its the fireboard component itself that is having a problem.

Thanks for your answers but the problem it’s solved by itself…. Maybe was a hosting problem… now all function correct.

it's related your safe_mode setting . joomla wants safe_mode , off for the component installation.

safe mode patch can be used for this type of problems
