    i have a great idea for an extension for joomla. whats the best way for me to get it designed. i want it to be open source and free so therefore i dont personally want to pay a lot myself. thanks

    Well... have you mentioned it at all at the actual Joomla forum? That would help and you could probably find someone to help there.

    Otherwise, look at something like joomlancers.com.
