Joomla CMS Template Design

I elected to use Joomla as my CMS. I am also an avid fan of dark themes, so I search around and find the GreenRays theme by siteground.com.

Skipping ahead a few hours and angry words . . .

The code for the theme provided by them does not allow you to do any of what you see in preview. The company is unwilling to provide the correct code, or put me on the line with anyone but the sales department. They dont provide services for anyone that knows anything. The .xml file does not specify any positions for the modules.

Well, I got particularly attached to this theme for my main site before I realized its shortcomings. Now, I could hack the shit out of it, or just find another dark Joomla theme. Which leads me to my question:

Any Joomla fans out there recommend a particular dark theme?

Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I like Joomlashack, Rocketheme, joomlart. Some free themes available at Joomlashack like the Jamba theme have an option for black.

I do agree, I am not loosing sleep over it because it was free. But they are really not adhering to the open source mindset. Thank you for the recommendations.
