Joomla: Calendar w/ Interactive Map for events?

Hi,

I need to build a quick community website project for a client. Most of the standard community features offered with Joomla and its extensions.

But I need these specific features:
Interactive map/directions to calendar events
Basically for any event on the calendar, users can enter their own address (or ideally it would pull address out of their profile) and they could get an interactive map showing the location of the event, and generating printable directions to the event from their own address.

Are their any extensions available for Joomla that do this? Or an existing API extension for Joomla with one of the major online Map tools?

Or would anyone recommend a different CMS system to use that could more easily provide this functionality?

If you are looking joomla extensions for event calendar with interactive map, I think it's not available, you should developed yourself or looking for joomla extensions developer to make it.

Integrate Google Maps or Yahoo Maps in your Joomla CMS.

 

You could try gigcalender. Not sure how much interactivity is available with the map but it has an event calender and has the ability to lookup a map from the venues' address. Word of advise though, use the nightly snapshots from joomlaforge as the supposed stable builds are buggy.
