    dont use hacked components they contain loopholes for the sites .So try to use original components.

    i dont think so .. better u del all files and start a new installation .. same thing ...happen to me right now .. and now am doing a new installation and need to chk chmod ... and am reading security checklist published at joomla help ...

    Be aware that joomla send your login info. in clear text if you don't have SSL. Don't use it free networks unless you are very sure.
