joomla banner advertisement, will google penalise it??

    There is a banner module in joomla through which we can sell banner advertisements. But google does not like link selling. So will google penalize the site??:confused:

    As anyone got penalized for selling banner advertisement on joomla?

    No, it's just a banner ads, and millions of sites out there are doing it. I don't think you'll have any problems.

    Google has a problem with paid links passing page rank, nofollow the links and you should be fine.

    As long as you don't openly advertise that your selling page rank you should not have a problem. Just sell "ads", the advertisers can figure out the rest.

    If your super worried, as above poster mentioned, nofollow's work great for this sort of thing.
