Joomla as a really extravagant directory?

    Has anyone ever used joomla as a Directory? I'm thinking about trying to do a pretty indepth directory and wondering if Joomla would be good for that.

    Any thoughts on that?

    Yes that can be done easily in Joomla with use SOBI Component. SOBI is a great component to implement a directory using Joomla CMS.

    Exactly, SOBI2 is user-friendly and can be customised easy.
    Also there is nice payd advanced modules you can use with.
