Joomla and Simple Machines forum

    I want to know why these 2 scripts very much friendly with each other as I have noticed a few things.

    1. Its easy to bridge both scripts

    2. There are a lot of addons which has something to do with SMF
    SEF, recent posts, recent members, member profile, and a lot more.

    3. Joomla themselves use Simple machines forum when they have more than 100,000 members.

    And some others as well, cant remember them though.
    Anybody know why ?

    i think they are just friendly to each other. i read somewhere they stay in contact but thats all i know

    i think they are brothers:D and both of them say "Joomla(or SMF) .. Because open source matter";)

    The friendlier they get, we get more powerful scripts.
    SMF is my favorite forum script and Joomla is my favorite CMS,.
    I woner whether Open source matters guys will get SMF.
