Agreed.I use them myself.So easy to use I really can't see why hardcoding into the template is needed.

In fact, on my site livingingermany.de I have edited the content.php file from the /components/com_content/ directory and there it is possible to have the google ads appearing after the intro text of the article and before the full text of the article, this is possiblly the best position on my sites and these ads get the most clicks. Simply open up the content.php file, go to line 1248, or there abouts of course as this depends on version in use. for me it's line 1248 where line starts with Then I break the line such as:
