Joomla: Adding front page articles? How?

Well I know how obviously, but my problem is this that If I put more than 2 articles on my homepage then the botton two (out of 3) will mess up and align themselves side by side. Looks pretty bad.

So I want to know how people using Joomla add many of their most recent articles on the homepage and also add a "read more" link if they want to limit the text on the front page.

Like this guy. (contacted him with no response)

    So anyone know?

He has changed his "front page" to a blog section. that is why it is ordered most recent like a blog.

you an find the readmore link in the parameters in the backend in category or section manager.

Nevermind, I got it. And for those of you that may want to know how to make a blog section on the home page (i did and couldnt find anything) here's how -

Make a new menu link in main menu.
    Select blog section
    name it Home
move it to the top of the main menu links. The first menu link will always be the home page of your site.

    that's it. :)

Well I think there is a faster way of doing it, don't need to make a new Menu just use the existing one, go to the say "Home" under the mainmenu, if the type is "Component Frontpage" then go into the menu, change the parameter of "column" to "1", you should get the blog style frontpage items..

I use Joomla! 1.5 at my site though most 3rd part extension is not supported yet but its feature is better then the previous one..

    Have fun.. :)
