Joomla a good CMS for a script site?

I am trying to set up a site that my wife can work on (she does not know code). I have set up one of those myspace resource sites, it is http://www.pimpyourspacefree.com. I downloaded Joomla and the SAJS. It looks like it will be perfect, but will it handle all of the myspace scripts the site has? Or is there a better CMS for this?

by scripts do you mean downloads as opposed to the code snippets for most items? maybe just install docman or remository for the scripts?

I'm looking more for the snippets, like the friend train and layout generator. Are docman and remository for this type of thing?

    Thanks for your help.

Let me clarify. I want to be able to execute php scripts, like a layout generator on the site. I think this is possible, but I think there is a plugin I have to add or something.

afaik any CMS would require additional development to run 'external' scripts through them, though perhaps, perhaps if you say - installed the script & then created a wrapper menu item that points to the script location it could work.

ie. make a scripts dir in your joomla install.. make a dir for each script..
then make a wrapper link to http://yourdomain.com/scripts/_scriptname_/_filename_.php (italics if required - ie. the filename is not index.php)

I actually haven't had a chance to try it yet, I've been working on a work project. Hopefully I will get to it sometime this week. I saw the same reccomendation somewhere else too, so hopefully that is the ticket. I'll let you know.

No Buddy... I will prefer Postnuke in it. Especially 0.7.5.0 ver. of postnuke with security patches and far much better in SEO point of view. Highly Customizable. A lot of Modules and themes available.
Theme making is damn easy in postnuke with autotheme.
Mod Rewrite is the best in it.
I can give assurance in it.
