Hello ppl, I have joomla 1.5 and i have created sections and categories and an article so I can get used to using it..

But, now when I view the site it doesnt displey the sections/categories in the navigation.

The article is there on the pag but in the nav on the left its just a "Main menu"
    and under that is 'home'.

I've looked through the settings but obviously im doing something wrong. Any advice?

Look faward to the replies. Cheers,

    Andy

the sections and categories are only displayed if you use the menu command to actively modify the main or top menus. simply creating a section or category doesn't automatically put it there.

i first tried the "jump in" approach without reading the manual thinking it would be intuitive but the interface is NOT. it's a whole different conceptual way of thinking in terms of organization from anything i've tried. after resorting to the quick start guide and further playing with it for another week, i was able to get a grasp of how things work.
