    More easily for use.
    Some features of Joomla 1.5
    1. Substantially improve usability, manageability
    2. Expand accessibility to support internationalisation.

I haven't migrated over to it. I need to test it before I'll make the jump. Kind of nervous.

IMHO there are really no on the surface improvements

They say the usability is better but it isn't . It was much easier to find and use the templating functions in the older versions.

Basically they rewrote the code themselves and are very proud of it. They didn't even take the time to fix common usability problems with the front page.

The new templating system is cool but it takes away from what Joomla was loved for , the ease of use and the simple man being able to alter it with PHP

now you really have to get into the Joomla API etc etc

so now it is a less flexible drupal

while drupal seems to be becoming more user friendly

I have some test sites with Joomla 1.5. I can say that it's not stable yet; there are many bugs. But it's much easier to use than the previous joomla, just take the time to see what it offers.

Well..i actually find it much more easier to use...privately I am using Joomla 1.5 and at work I use the "old" version 1.0.12 stable. I guess it depends on which version you begin to use Joomla. As for any kinds of security issues I guess you will just have to bear them in new released versions but they'll be fixed pretty soon and after all you have a very good CMS.

    Cheers :)
