Jon Stewart's Hilarious (& Disturbing) Glenn Beck Impression

I watched this last night and while I did find it quite funny, I mostly found it disturbing.

This was a dead-on impression of Beck's paranoid delusional senseless ramblings and it really freaked me out to think about the 3 million people who watch his show and take him seriously.

I've watched a total of about 50 minutes worth of Beck's Fox program (in about 10 sittings of 5 minutes each... as I can't stand watching more than 5 minutes in a row of this lunatic) and I caught every reference Stewart did which is pretty incredible really. Beck is such a loon that he really has the crazy on full blast almost constantly.

Hilarious parody, too bad his audience is mostly too dumb to appreciate it.

Not surprisingly, Fox viewers are down at the bottom of that list as one of the least informed audiences.

Of course they're informed about the big stupid things but they have no context to put it into. Most of them probably never watched or heard of Beck but they laugh just cause they're drones.

I don't think their drones. I remember after 9/11 their was so much tension and stress about terrorism and the war that the daily show, the colbert report and SNL gave us some relief.

I remember when Glenn Beck was nutty, but not on the level he's gotten now. There was a time, after he interviewed Ron Paul, that his talk changed DRAMATICALLY. He became much more real Republican...But apparently that was an educated move in order to fuel lies with truth by spinning the news like never before.

Granted, I never knew much about him, but I remember when he was crying over the Constitution and people were making fun of him...How completely outraged and furious I got. I staunchly defended him...And I don't know if I should say this because it might put me in league with him...But I defended him because I have felt exactly what I thought he felt during that time.

Then a friend in his 30s knew where I was coming from and calmly showed me some of Beck's show, and how it is all emotional staging and a front, and I NEVER felt more betrayed by someone on TV in my life.

I have cried in fervor and yelled and just been mentally/emotionally/spiritually on fire thinking about what is happening to the rights of people solely on the basis that these people do not know their rights or how powerful they really are. I thought he was trying to make that point. He's just a demon.

It was too long and drawn out for me. The SNL guy did a much better job IMO.

Not surprisingly, Zibby is still making things up! Maybe Zibby is down at the bottom of the list as one of the least informed people on DP?

If you watch Fox, you'll see that they enjoy showing clips of shows that parody them - thus, giving that show free advertising, right? So, The Daily Show and SNL have been parodying Fox in the hopes that a clip of the parody will be shown on Fox!

And, of course, Fox's weekday ratings are out-of-this-world. Bill O'Reilly at 8pm has 3.5 Million viewers. The combined figures for CNN, HLN, and MSNBC is a paltry 2.8 Million!

This is not an isolated incident. Zibby makes things up all the time. Not just twisting of the truth, but blatant purposeful falsification of the facts

    Well he better respond.

Hannity LIED. He totally fabricated the information. He grossly overstated the number of people attending the rally. He took visuals of a different rally and substituted them for this latest event.

    BIG LIAR.

Very dangerous guy. Right Wing Extremism engaging in Mind Control methods and outright lying. Dangerous guy, dangerous group.

Hannity admitted the video was false. He admitted the video was doctored to look that there were more protestors and supporters of Bachman's rally than really attended. The video was doctored to support Bachman's wildly inaccurate claims.

Hannity claims it was a screw up. Purposeful effort to twist the impact of the news or screw up? Who really knows.

A view of the video shows a very deliberate change in scenery and background. I'd bet it was purposeful.

If you have a constant flowing video, all in one format....somebody knowingly made a change. Somebody knew they were taking a video showing few supporters at the actual event and substituted a video showing many people.

Somebody purposefully did this to twist the news.

Extremist Right Wing. Caught in its own lies.!!!

Last night's South Park lampooned Mr. Beck as well. Cartman was Beck, of course. Great episode... It's on the internets... check it out.

I'm aghast! Thank god we have Obama to bring in his political doners and supporters and hand them white lab coats to show the overwhelming support of doctors for health care reform. Our dear leader always tells it straight, and that is exactly what I love about him. When he says we can insure 46 million more people while raising the quality of health care without adding a cent to the deficit or raising taxes, I believe him!
