Joining New Members to a Group

    We have started a group and have sent out invites but they automatically joined them to the group without giving them the option to accept or not, what are we doing wrong?

    Hi.
    I guess you Invited your FRIENDS to group, so in this case they has no option to accept or not,they become direct members. it is not like Inviting friends to Like a FanPage where they may do it or not.

    Facebook have started putting an alert at the top of the group explaining that people have been added by someone else and do they want to stay in.

    It's important when you create a group or a page that you understand the differences and choose the right type.

    When you add someone to a group they cant accept it, what they can do is to leave the group and ask that they wont be added again in the futuree.
