    Hello

I would like to learn how CJ works from the advertisers' side. They implement their own tracking links but how do they count if the clicks are turned into an action, i mean for different levels of products, do advertisers need to add some html code to their pages? Want to know how is integration held, and level of difficulty about it.

    Thanks

Advertisers can do things one of two possible ways - batch transfers, or tracking pixels.

For advertisers who do batch transfers, they record all of the sale information in their system & upload that data to CJ on a regular basis (daily, every few days, etc...).

For advertisers who use tracking pixels, they usually implement a tracking pixel or tracking code on their order confirmation page. This sends information about the order amount, product type (if applicable), and any other relevant information to CJ. CJ matches this data with the original click data (your affiliate link), and then records this into the system.

Integration difficulty depends on the system that advertisers have set up. Tracking pixels tend to be easier to implement, but it's extremely dependent on the ordering interface & technical specs.

If you look at the description page for a merchant, it will note whether or not they use batch transfers or not.

Yes, that's possible. It's also possible that they can alter the data that's sent to the CJ tracking pixel on the order confirmation pages. Will they do that? Probably not. Most merchants have very high ethical standards (and employees are accountable), and why would a merchant want to shortchange you? If they don't give you the commissions you expect, you'll stop sending them visitors. Easy as that.
