International Alliance of Web Publishers (IAWP)

Thanks to Big Corporations such as Google having such dominance over the web advertising world, the need is greater than ever for a Web-Publishers Union. We need to band together in one large unified voice to be able to protect ourselves from unfair practices by huge corporations. There needs to be rules that these companies must abide by in order for them to be able to run ads on our sites. Issues such as a payment time frame that is acceptable, a maximum amount of the advertisers dollar that they can take for profit, and many many other important issues. If Google or any other Corporation breaks our union regulations, then every single web publisher stops using that company for advertisements, and uses a different one like maybe YPN or whoever. This would create more competition for the Giant Company, and allow us web publishers more choices of types of advertisements. Wouldn’t that be awesome to have control over the big companies, instead of them treating web publishers any way they choose! After all, it is we the web publishers that work so hard to build high quality websites for the advertisers to place ads. Power is in numbers, it’s just a matter of banding everyone together by the millions, and we could call the shots. It works in the Entertainment Industry.

So let’s get going and be the beginning of a union called the International Alliance of Web Publishers! (IAWP)

Is anyone with me on this?

    Spread the news!

Heck, with our knowledge banded together, we could have millions of people hear our voice. After all we are the experts in promotion, publicity, etc. I’ve had over 1/2 million people visit one of my sites since I started web publishing this past August. But I have been a member of the AFL-CIO for over 23 years, and I know this can work. We make more money. They stop playing God and calling all of the shots.
