There was an episode of Columbo (starring the brilliant Peter Falk) that I watched that featured a guy playing a country singer with a great voice. He had killed his wife in that episode (my favorite Columbo episode because it features some songs by him). I always thought that guy was no ordinary actor because he had a great voice. Just today, the episode came on again and I decided to look up that episode and see the cast. It turned out to be Johnny Cash.
I think I remember that episode, even though i saw it more than ten years ago! Was it the one in which the murderer is a playboy singer whose wife has blackmailed him into singing religious songs and pretending to have repented?
Yes, Johnny Cash was great. I have several of his vinyl LPs from the 1950s. He also played in several different movies.
Johnny Cash was also in an episode of Little House on The Prairie along with his wife. They were also on a couple of episodes of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.
