It was reported today that John Edwards was dropping out of the race. Who do you think he is going to endorse now that he has dropped out? Think that this is going to be an impact on the Democrats? I was never supporting him, but I am interested to see what is going to happen. Post your opinions.
I think the vast majority of Democratic voters will vote for a Democrat regardless of who it is due to the fact that most are simply wanting change. I figure many of the voters for Edwards would go to Obama now.
All his votes will go to Obama for sure. Those two were more in line with their ideals. I predict Obama wins the nomination with Edwards as vice president.
This whole process in my view is a sham. People will be stuck having to choose (once again) the lesser of two evils. Unless they hear Ron Paul's message the only true genuine honest candidate with the experience and wits to turn this ship around.
This is huge news. That he did this before Feb. 5 could really make a big difference as I think most Edwards supporters will move to Obama.
Is it bad that I take some glee at your displeasure? Your constant railing against everyone who does not support Ron Paul makes me want him to lose, not just because I think many of his positions are dangerous, but because I want to see people like you blow a gasket.
I wasn't talking about Edwards, I was talking about the election once the choices don't include Ron Paul. It is going to be a great election!
I think that with Edwards out of the race, Obama is going to gain Edwards' votes. With those, he could really gain some considerable ground. And I agree, I think Edwards is trying to gain the VP position.
I feel so sorry for you man, you do not even realize what's coming at you. When it hits you will have no one but yourself to blame. Mark my words.
There is much I would improve, but I don't think America is doing that badly. I am in no way supportive of George Bush, but a bad President is a temporal problem. I think there is much to look forward to the next 4 years after Bush is out of office. I think most of the probable candidates have better plans for the economy, the Iraq war, foriegn affairs than what we have now. That seems like something positive to me. P.S. I forgot to add that I think John Edwards is a pretty good guy. I certainly would not mind seeing him have a position in the next administration.
He never had a snowballs chance in hell anyway...he needs to go back to suing people so he can pay for his bills for his house. What a hypocrite. He is the problem with the US health care. Trial Lawyers.
I actually do agree with you there, d16man, to an extent. I think all these atrocious law suits that pay so much more than the person deserves are what causes such problems.
Edwards' focus on the poor made him the true liberal within the Democratic primary (of serious candidates). Obama and Clinton are very middle ground.
a few reasons clinton is divisive and won't be able to do anything. we will have the circus again obama is not experienced enough to win romney is fake huck will muddy the line of religion-govt mccain is too old and sloppy paul is too extreme for me the country has tilted to the right too much, it needs a big kick to the left to be balanced again. and i am tired of the people that can not make money by real work. no more think tank or failures or mediocre people for me by the way i can live with bloomberg more than the rest of them for sure
