I think he can claim that with the month he is making..

and he may be a Dot Com Mogul, but I am the 'Smartest Blogger Ever'

 

he is a dotcom mougal he makes good money online

 

Several ppl make good money online, not all would be considered a "mougal"
personally, I think the guys over rated...lol

He recently changed it. The title was "Make Money Online With John Chow Dot Com" before.

Yep he must be good to make the buzz. I am sure he must be good at what he does for living.

 

I'm sure they said the same about the enron guy.
It's the same principle used by a lot of businesses. 90% of the time, people believe you're as good as you say you are, unless approached by evidence to the contrary.

 

It is the law of marketing. Nobody likes a looser, everybody loves to hear the story of winners. So we have to present the positive sides of what we have.

 

He may have a huge ego, but he is a very good guy!

 

Unless you are going after the much sought after "masochist" demographic

 

No dude, I think it works. I know from experience. If you are good at something, you have to bring it to the light let others know about it. When you look for a job, for example, you are the one who have to show all your expertise to the prospective employee.

 

I personally don't have too much of a problem with him. But there are thousands of people that make a living online. The difference between him and others is that he has a blog devoted to talk about it. Others might even surprise you.

 

Its called the LAW OF ATTRACTION..... to be successful then portray an image of success... don't think you are, know you are.

 

I personally love John Chow, I mean the guy made 20k last month so good for him. How many people can do that off one blog and not off multiple ventures

 

I see he placed lot of ads from some big companies. They must pay him well.

 

While John Chow doesn't always give the best example of how to run a website (just in my opinion - its still a good examplle), he's been really good at link baiting and attarcting visitors, and keeping them coming back - in spite of being penalized by Google, in spite of having quite frequent paid reviews, and inspite of posting a lot of affiliate promotions.

Not to mention the way he monetizes his site.

 

I think what you said right here is the true thing that makes John Chow special. Not so much know-how or articles you can truly monitize, but keeping the articles to the level where the next one might be "the next big thing".
That, and being able to withstand Google's slap at him. That's always rough to cope with, and I didn't think he could do it. I was wrong I guess.

 

$20,000 a month isn't considered a mogul?
