That's pretty awesome you've met John Chow. He's a celebrity in this industry, just a like an author or actor would be in theirs. What an amazing experience!
Yea I was aware that it's a personal blog. I guess you guys find hamburgers and such interesting. I got no problem with that. yes, I'm jealous of his smexy smile. And I already commented about his articles about making money online, if you'll read above ^
You people are scaring me. Does he give out autographs?!!! *jumps up and down with excitement* He's...just...a...blogger...who...makes...a...lot...of...money...like...thousands....do...all...the...time. Get a grip. Really. Seriously. Merry Christmas.
I'm not so sure there would be 1000s of blogs making as much as him, yes 1000s of websites, but not 1000s of blogs.
Maybe. Maybe not. But the Internet is HUUUUUUUGE. You'd be surprised. I'm not knockin' him. In fact I point out his success to a lot of people for inspiration. And maybe I myself would like to meet him. Maybe. But let's get real here....he's just a blogger. But, I guess, for some, he is more than that. Why am I hungry for a sandwich???
I would love to meet him, and discuss ways how to monotize my websites better. It would be nice to learn a few trade secrets from a professional. Your lucky to have met him, I don't think he comes to the UK .
John seems like a fun guy to hang out with! I wrote a post recently: John Chow Sucks: A New Holiday Bashing Sport?
The monetization techniques he uses are not overly complicated - just product placement, affiliate links, private ad sales and adsense. What he does well is built traffic to such an ad stuffed website.
Let me join the minority of wet blankets Kudos to Mr. Chow for raking in the dough but I would have no interest in meeting this man in person. I would much rather meet someone who's serving my country in Iraq - not a blogger who takes pictures of sandwiches and charges $400 for a review. When I first heard of him and saw his site, my first impression was: "Wow, what an arrogant prick". He has a tagline of "I make money online by telling people how much money I make online". Then he has pictures of flashy cars and $100 bills. Scummy. Same with ShoeMonkey... some lame nerd flaunting his cash on the web. "Look at all the money I make, suckas!" That's the message they send to me. I'd say out of all the bloggers I've seen, Pro Blogger is probably the most legit. I don't really get turned off by going to his blog. Although it's kind of annoying to see his ugly mug with his mouth hanging open in his video when I get there
Yeah, ProBlogger and CopyBlogger are the most professional, but the images JohnChow and ShoeMoney create does help them get traffic.
He's this really plain blogger that makes alot of money from it somehow. He also has many worshipers that dig his sammiches
