Because his reputation preceeds him and we know he's not a cheat. If you had just contacted him and pointed out the error, we wouldn't be here right now. All of Joe's properties are worth having a link on. I'm sure you just blew it though. Cheers
Dude u know what I find hard to believe... when your so active with link building for your site, how can it go unnoticed that youve accidently dropped a site-wide. Not only that, but you have so few footer links on your site so its VERY noticeable. Dont take me for a fool.
Actually, that's spelled "minstrel". And okay, I'll bite... what thread did I get smashed in? Because it's ignorant, cowardly, and uncivilized to deal with an issue in this manner. And because the rest of the world really doesn't care. At this point in my life, I'm immune to flattery. I don't know whether you';re a kid or not. I do know you have some growing up to do, though. Why does that worry you, dcristo? I promise I won't disclose any of your secrets...
Because it's a footer file. I typically do editing in notepad for footer files. Sometimes you miss a </a> or lose a link and don't notice it if you're doing things in haste. You just better hope this thread doesn't get much bigger. You've done yourself more harm than Joey.
After a certain time, one begins less visiting their main site, spending time on secondary sites to promote the main domain. If something dropped from my footer, it would take me at least a week or two to notice. Maybe he uploaded an outdated backup from his hard drive without your link in it.
Lay off the smack its doing you no good. minstrel, Im not even gonna waste my time replying to your BS.
WHAT LINK ARE YOU REFERRING TO? WHAT SITE? I only have a dozen sites dude. If you cant answer then you have nothing else to say.
I have erased links by accident before, it happens and I am happy noone ever overracted like this guy! Except a couple spam site owners which I then decided to get rid of for good!
Exactly. "Shit happens" You do the best you can and hope people are adults about it. Funny, this is the only guy who complained. One thing I dont like is having my integrity questioned. -
I think Minstrel was correct in pointing out that this should have been done in private first. If you were not able to resolve this amicably, then you would have some grounds for taking it public. But, now you just look like someone who is trying to cause trouble. I haven't really seen you do much other than name call and be pissed off. At the end of the day, that is what I will probably remember and I would guess others will as well. I just noticed someone deleted a link to one of my sites the other day. I emailed them and told them I noticed the link was gone and that if they did not put it back up, I would be deleting a link to their website. I got an email back the next day with an apology and where the link was placed. It pays to be nice. But, it is a free country. YMMV
This is sad how you are trying to ruin his name by wasting a whole thread on a forums towards a minor issue. Get a life you dork
I agree this could have been resolved in a more professional manner. Judging by Joey's activities here and elsewhere, there should be no need to question his integrity. A quick PM could have fixed this up. Not sure what a forum MOD should do about this part of the rule... "will not be tolerated".
