    www.company.jobs vs. jobs.company.com

What are everyones thoughts on implications toward SEO? I know that a sub-domain would somewhat piggy back off the main domain for some factors, but can anyone see any other issues? Any comments / suggestions would be much appreciated!

jobs.company.com is clearly better, if nothing for the fact that all biggest companies in the world are doing it like that.

Strange logic. If all the biggest companies stuck pins in their eyes would you follow suit? Their success may not be due simply to using a subdomain like this (and probably isn't).

Organise your site in the way that makes structural sense to you and your users; I doubt that it has any impact with the search engines.

Well using a subdomain (jobs.company.com) is not going to let you leverage any strength from www.company.com. So if your main domain has a lot of established credibility then I would use a subdirectory (www.company.com/jobs/) rather then a subdomain.
