Did you do a press release for the website? Also, you could visit work from home forums, webmaster forums and maybe some local businesses.
no i did not do a press release,,what do you mean,,? sorry im new to this staf,, and no i have not visit any forums ,,do you know ,any.. thanks
It takes much more then good (or not) domain to own a good website. So start with what you have to offer, may be get a niche and decide why ppl will go to you not to big trusted guys with a lot of jobs and a lot of employees.
You need to buy adword ads to get traffic. If you not willing to spent, you can do link exchange, directory submission.
A press release is an article that introduce your new website to the internet. Basically, you are telling people about the website and gaining exposure. WAHM and Workfromhomeboard are some of the forums that have people looking for jobs.
im doing a lot off reading,,here and there to see how and what i shol do,, and trying to learn,, just dont have a lot of experience,
I guess it's difficult to make such a site running. Nobody will post their job offer first. So in my opinion you should post some fake jobs. Create accounts and let then all be activ. With one account you offer a job and with the other acount you take the job. People will think other guys make money on your site and also sign up Well it's maybe not the right way....but surely a good way!
Interestingly enough I also have a job site (ready to go) on one of the top UK domains. I was planning to sell it, but then recession did a bad thing to the market. So I just left it there to gather dust. Some people from the recruitment industry told me to sit on it until market becomes more favourable. Went to PR2 though.
Get in touch with a few small business owners and let them post job opennings for free for a while, when traffic picks up start charging...
yap,,with all this info that i got from you guys i started do or put some links into some Free Web Directories, and other things, just a start,,is a lot of work...but will see what happens,,plus the no experience doing this ,,is killing me,,learn,learn,learn... is there any way to have like a automatic job posting? and how about a video module,,to be added to the script? thank very much for the info, friends!
Been in the industry for over 15 years. Content aggregators introduced in mid 04 and onward changed the landscape to the point where getting ROI on one is close to impossible at this point. Even your big players like indeed and simplyhired the pioneers of this type of agg have a rough time with it...Drupals CMS can quite easily being turned into a nice job agg, simplyhired and indeed both have a adsense style widge you can put on your site. Don't dive too deep into this field-its changing in a very dynamic way. Posting jobs is nothing anymore-only a dumb HR rep would part money with a canned website job offering to post jobs without some real research into the traffic type and the target. Independence and Interdepdendence is the name of the game
