A friend of mine just posted a job for Scripps (HGTV, Food Network, Fine Living, etc.), and I thought I would post it here since I know there are a lot of good people who want to get started in SEO/SEM but aren't given the opportunity. This job is perfect because the posting does not have many "required" things ...mostly "preferred"; and he said he said he is willing to mentor someone who has the skills and wants to make the jump from web dev to full-time SEM/SEO. Very rare for a company of this scale, but the guy got his start the same way and is willing to help a skilled person to do the same. If this is you, take a look: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/art/277707531.html
Oh man, that sounds like such a big break. If I had any prior experience and wasn't in school, I would so go for it
Bummer ...because I'm 99% sure he would take a grad fresh out of college (if they had any experience).
I have always been fascinated with how internet marketing and SEO works. Internet marketing has been a fast growing business these days only needing basic knowledge to market something and how to optimized it. My buddies and I are also starting on IM, we have also contacted sem consultants to really give us the complete headstart on this online business. Much success,
