    Problems I'm facing:

    • Mail often bounces back with the error 553 Bogus helo hostname
    • Mail gets delivered to the junk mail or spam folder of all major providers (yahoo, hotmail) except gmail

Reverse DNS is in order but you can recheck that. I use hmailserver on windows 2003. I want my emails to be delivered to all servers & not filtered as spam. You will need to guide me step by step as to what has to be done, preferably over MSN messenger. I can't give you access to the server.

Once this is resolved & my mails are delivered successfully to the inbox (not marked as spam) of major providers I'll pay $30 via paypal, moneybookers or e-gold.

If all of your sent emails are getting dumped into spam folders, you might send a message to yahoo/hotmail/etc. support and find out if the host that you are sending from has been 'blacklisted' for having a huge amount of spammers. Are you using a free host?

No, not a free host, a dedicated server. Can you help me with the contact details of yahoo/hotmail for such issues & provide some insight into whether they actually respond and how quickly?

    Thanks in advance.

For Hotmail: MSN Postmaster - Support for delivery problems, etc.

For Yahoo: Seems to be a bit more difficult to find info on them. They have this post:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/technical/abuse-35.html, which refers to a 553 message, and links to a page that talks about messages being marked as spam.

At the bottom of the page, they have a 'contact support' button. I'd try that option, and see if you can get answers directly from Yahoo on what to do about it.

As for a time frame on response, I've never really had that problem (probably because I use gmail) so I couldn't honestly tell you how fast they will respond. I'm sure that someone will contact you though.

    Hope that helps.

Are you using outlook from your 2003 server?
