Jetpack Plugin Strips Out Affiliate Links

I don't know if any of you have noticed this or if there is a workaround. I am using the blog subscriptions widget, part of the Jet pack plugin on my self-hosted Wordpress.org blog - westcoastbiker.net

I just realized, by reading my post that was emailed to me by the plugin, that Wordpress.com who makes the Jet Pack plugin actually does the mail out to subscribers. When the post goes through Wordpress.com servers, affiliate links are stripped from the post and replaced with links to their TOS & Copyright page. This page is a warning page that blog owners could have their account suspended because of affiliate links....as they are forbidden.

Wordpress.com is in effect censoring blogs that they do not own, and do not host!

    I am ticked!

Have you contacted the plugin creater yet?

Thanks for telling us on DP forum but you need to complain on the Jet Pack support site. Once a ton of people keep contacting the creator, her will have to do something before the negative press spreads like wildfire.

I did contact Wordpress.com about this issue, and there response is "we are working on it", and to let them know if the same problem re-occurs. I haven't published anything with aff links in the last couple of days, so I don't know if they have resolved the issue or not.
