Jesus in the Qur'an and Jesus in the Bible. I found a link for you guys. Jamal Badawi is a well known scholar os Islam. I don't know about John Gilchrist. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/6808/Jesus.html http://www.answering-islam.org/Gilchrist/uniqueness.html
What about Muhammad (s.a.s) in the Bible? Check out "Chapter 6" http://wings.buffalo.edu/sa/muslim/library/jesus-say/contents.html
Just as the Roman Catholic church took what it liked from an assortment of previous scriptures and adapted it to suit their needs.
All you ever want is here: http://www.bismikaallahuma.org/archives/2005/the-prophet-jesus-in-the-noble-quran/
Mohammed was a man. Who became a viscious old man. He killed. He raped. Just like the Islamists do now in his name. Wonder who they got the idea from?
somehow I don't think a Muslim site is going to have all I need to know about the differences between the Biblical Jesus and the Koranic Jesus.
Same comments can be given on Jesus teachings that "he made all that up" if NO, give me a proof and quotes from the bible won't count because he made all that up.
wmghori, Jesus (s.a.s) did not make up what he said. Surely, he did not say any such thing as God was his father. Jesus is a Prophet and he talked as a Prophet. That's what he is, just like Muhammad (s.a.s). He invited people to Allah. He said he is a messenger, he said he is a child of Mary. He loved and respected his mother. I am a Muslim and I believe Jesus, as I believe Muhammad. Christians and Jews are people of the book." That's what I understand the Qur'an is saying. And I believe that. I believe all my Prophets, from Adam (a.s) to Muhammad (s.a.s).
Thats an easy answer...HES NOT!!!! I have already responded to this in another forum...Muslims have taken what they know of History and read into it so that they think they can "prove" that they are right...however, you are wrong, as is the author of that article. Actually when you get down to it, lots of Christians make the same mistake...they see the story of Jesus and they make the Old Testament fit it. However, there are places in the OT that some are sure it speaks of Jesus, but when put into context, it refers to something else. This is what your author has done...he has taken specific verses OUT OF CONTEXT and therefore sees Muhammed...hell, I could do the same thing and find myself in the OT if I wanted to...
You obviously have not read my other posts and I have answered this one twice now...but in hopes you will actually read it...Jesus DID call God his Father, and at one point, even called him "daddy", which is a much more personal name than Father...why do you refuse to debate this? I think it is because I have proved you wrong (3) times now and therefore you ignore it...
He is far more than a prophet. He is the "Savior, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:11). If a religion does not understand Jesus to be: (1) the Savior, (2) God's Anointed One ("Christ"), and (3) the Lord, then their Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible.
