I imagine spammers like to penetrate every orifice of the internet.

If rep text is link clickable, oh boy... the Russians will have a field day.

Yeah, OK. You got me. He kinda said it, but it was taken out of context. McCain didn't say we were going to be in Iraq for 100 years. He was expanding on Bush's comment about being in Iraq for 50 years and said, "Make it 100." He then went on to compare that to our presence in Japan, Germany and Korea. He then further says that it would be OK as long as Americans were not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. I don't see that scenario as realistic given the nature of the Muslim world. The point was that we could potentially be there for a long time based upon comparisons to our lingering presence in other conquered countries.

Here is the original meeting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFknKVjuyNk

My own opinion is that we shouldn't have international bases anywhere unless there is a strong strategic value in doing so. That would rule out the majority of bases outside of the USA.

I would read Jesse's book, but based upon my experience with him, I don't think there will be any answers to be found.

BTW, there are a lot of ex-military people who claim that Jesse was never a Navy SEAL. He was part of Underwater Demolition Team 12, but that team was not part of the SEALs when Jesse was in the military. The story goes that it became a SEAL team after Jesse was discharged.

He started making the SEALs claim while he was a pro-wrestler.

I like the attacks on Ventura's credibility. We need to get this all out of the way if he is going to run for office in 2012. :)

I voted for Reagan - twice.

I don't think there have been any real winners since then. You'd have to be a nut case just to just want the job these days.

You only get credit for 1 winner. Reagan was a good choice in 80, not in 84. In 84, he'd basically turned his back on everything he ran on in 76 and 80.

Watched this last night on CNN at 3 am.

He mentioned Ron Paul, and had some good stuff to share. I like this no nonsense politics - I hope people start waking up.

The only way to break the dominance of the DemoRats and Repugnants is to come up with a real third party candidate that appeals to people and who can get things done. Is is doable, but we need someone who doesn't sound like a nut to step up to the plate.

Jesse ran as that type of candidate in Minnesota, but he just couldn't get things done. For a big guy, he has a very thin skin, which doesn't work very well with politics.

Jesse will not be the political Messiah you seek. If he had credibility, publishers would be clamoring to buy his book.

Jesse was a wrestler, he should understand the pile driver effect. He should review this old clip of his and he will see three buildings (represented by The Body, Piper, and another) go down after getting hit by two planes represented by Uncle Elmer and Cousin Jim. Jesse went down at the speed gravity. I liked Jesse more as a wrestler but he will be as revolutionary as Ed Clark, Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, Ralph Nader Part 2, and Ron Paul.

...now if Jesse could get George The Animal Steele as a running mate than maybe I'd be changing my avatar and buying up a bunch of other avatar spaces.

What the heck are you talking about? There is video record of McCain making the "100 years" statement on multiple occasions. Strange from someone talking about other people not doing their research.
