This is a forum dedicated to NBC's TV show, Jericho. Basically it's about a show in which there's been a nationwide attack against the United States. Jericho is the name of the town in which most of the television show takes place.

Also note that this site is pretty much the largest one for the Jericho forum. I know several of you have PMed me and asking if I was gonna sell it... well, I finally am now.

Why am I selling?

The reasons I'm selling are twofold. Firstly, I'm only a few hundred dollars away from my new laptop I want to get. With this site I should have enough extra cash to purchase it. Secondly, between school and my other sites, I simply don't have enough time to effectively manage it. All in all I still love the show and hope to participate on the forum once it's sold - I just can't administrate it.

Traffic Details

The traffic for the forum was growing through November until NBC temporarily took the show off the air - soon to return in early February. I expect traffic to be about half what it was in November until then, but once the show restarts, both traffic and revenue should pick up significantly.

Traffic for November was 5200 uniques and 157350 pageviews. December was about half that, but only because the show went off of the air until next month.

Revenue

Revenue for November (when the show was airing) was $57.72 for the month via Adsense.

I also sold a few links for the site (for a month) which puts the revenue above $2.00 a month.

4,800 pages indexed by Google.

It hasn't been decided whether or not this show is coming back for a second season...

I wanted to make a bid but if it was coming back for a second season it would have been announced already!

it's a big risk for the buyer so, do you know if it's coming back for season 2 (Not for the spring return)?

lordmenace - you're right. It's possible it might not return for a second season. But I think it will - I'm surprised about how many people I really know who love the show. And I don't think they'd announce it yet either.

EDIT: the show is also aired on CBS. I said NBC by mistake.

Nice site, but you're basing your earnings on November 2006 which had 5300 uniques. May I ask why the sudden spike in traffic? Also what was the revenue like for the Dec. 2006 month? I'm interested in bidding but want to know a couple of more details first.

 

If that "per month" traffic was per day, then itd be a great deal

 

December was about 1/2 of November. January's been about .50/day. I'm sure this is only because the show was off the air, plus the holidays. Once the show returns, I'm confident the $2/day will return.

I assume the "spike in traffic" would be because of growing search engine rankings. I've never paid for traffic or posts.

I'll bid $120. Hard to base worth off of "potential"...especially for a tv fan site since there is also potential for the show to get cancelled making it close to worthless if some other network doesn't pick it up.

I like the show myself and hope it last for a while but also see it as not something a huge audience will get behind. I hope I am wrong and it becomes the next breakout hit (like Lost, Heros, 24).
