I might be interested, but i am not experienced in fan sites Just a question. Is is legal to use the photos, videos, wallpapers etc on your site and has the buyer to get some kind of license to use this?

Depends on the artist really, if they want to sue you they always can

 

the site has just been created fresh, and i just submitted it to google, yahoo and msn. so no traffic and revenue.
but "jennifer lopez" is a strong keyword (overture stat: 647,123), and i'm sure the traffic will pick up soon. as far as ads are concerned, there are sitewide reserved spots where you can put any ppc ads.

 

Yeah, but if they can't prove 'damages' they win nothing more than a simple cease and desist letter would have accomplished. Oh they win a lawyer bill too.

as far as i know, most celeb sites have a TOS that states they will remove any photos that are requested to do so by the copywrite holder, this is usualy enough to not get sued, if you comply with all requests in a timely manner. thanks.
