Two paws up to http://www.dogpile.com who just beat out Google, AOL, ASK, MSN, and YAHOO in the J.D. Power 2006 residential online service customer service satisfaction.

They were tops in all categories which included:

    Overall Satisfaction
    Functionality
    Ease of use
    Results

Here is the link to the article:http://www.jdpower.com/telecom/ratings/online_services/search/index.asp

They also had a press release last week I guess found here in PDF format:\

No need to do anything really. How much would that award affect Google's traffic/income?

I suspect that it might be worthwhile to figure out how to spa... er, optimize for a bunch of these piddly little no-traffic engines if it affords better performance in meta-search results. Our site is #1 and #2 on Google, and ranks well on both Yahoo and MSN, but we're damn near invisible on Ask, which I think affects our Dogpile rank.

Anyone have any figures on how much traffic Dogpile can drive?

This award does not mean jack. Dogpile is nothing compated to Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other sites that you mentionned.

JD doesn't mean a thing. I used to be finance manager at car dealership and the dealership has 7 of them, for the last 7 years, you give JD some $ and you have a plaque in the showroom.

I second that. There are tons of car manufacturers (Honda, Toyota) that show off a bunch of JD Power awards but it literally means nothing.

Thanks for the info, IMO 700-800 visitors/mo. = nothing to sneeze at.
