Curious as to what you guys think. Going for the themed/niche directory to riches plan on a couple fronts. Really trying to get it human friendly instead of just SEO. If you have a jazz related site please submit.

 

How about a section for jazz musicians?

Also, we have a ton of jazz content on our online magazine including some interviews which I mentioned in the subscription - I submitted it to References.

I think it looks great. I like the header image and the icon beside the categories. Very well done, IMO. I submitted one listing into shopping. If you know of a better category for it, feel free to move. Thanks.

 

May I suggest you add a few more categories like: Jazz music styles (contemporary, wicked, freestyle .. .. ), Jazz Record labels, Jazz music stores, Jazz Events.

Maby also a marketplace to sell/buy jazz related stuff.

I find the bricks a bit dark imo, and maby a small mediaplayer with some wicked jazz sounds would be great.

Yeah with you on the bricks. I was going to make lighter, the top mural is actually on a brick background and was trying to make it flow together with a tile background to reduce load time.

The marketplace idea is brilliant, is there software for this somewhere? My thought was to add a forum, but a marketplace is really something to look into.

As far as categories, I'll get into that but was hoping the directory would build itself as people suggest categories that are specific. That worked with my free directory ( in my sig)
