jayde is sending me advertisement/newsletters of other sites which is really irritating. I have put them on spam so now they go in bulk folder.
I have had PayPal junk mail where they are asking me for my login information. I wasn't born yesterday....lol. I bet there are people who actually fall for it though.
I tackle this problem by signing up for free email in yahoo etc. and submitting to directories etc with that email.
take a look at there terms/faq when submitting a site im sure there is a bit about you accepting emails from there site(s)
Hello, Well, after reading this thread.. i thought i should comment on some of the readings.. One mentioned that they are one of the best, i really think they are NOT. And regarding the issue itself, i do not really see a reson why should i use a free service like Jayde that will spam me till i die, where i can pay some $20-$50 and use a much better service provider. Sometimes, you really cry-out "i'd better paid" ;-) Good luck anyway, i personally have them server-level blocked
FYI guys, I probably cleaned out my spam folder fri. I currently have 80 (e-i-g-h-t-y!) emails in my spam folder from jayde. as an experiment, i just cleared the folder, i will insert here the amount i have tomorrow night.
What happened when you tried to unsubscribe? You did unsubscribe, didn't you? I have been subscribed to their SiteProNews newsletter for about 5 years and have found it a value. I delete the occasional "Free postcards" email they send out. The newsletter is good and Add-Me is a nice tool. I also have had to manage email lists and it's a pain. People sign up and forget and then report you as spamming. You have to constantly maintain the list, deal with soft and hard bounces, try to sort out what to do with "mail box is above quota" subsribers, respond to challenge systems, and deal with ISP's that don't make decent efforts to sort out spam from subscribed mailings. Last week I saw a note from someone claiming that my employer ($XX billion company) was "cutting into my computer" and he was going to report us to the FTC. Of course we don't use the technologies that he mentioned and we don't do business in the country indicated by his cowardly yahoo address. If someone is giving out free directory listings, free submission tools, providing valuable content, and a variety of other tools, I cut them some slack when they send out emails promoting something that is of interest to me or some of my peers. They're not sending true spams like Vi@gr@ offers, off shore gambling, or "a hotttie in {your town} wants to meet tonight" emails, are they? Please unsubscribe if it's that hard to deal with.
i have 2 emails accounts : myemailaccout@whatever and myema_ilaccout@whatever, the 2nd is full with spams from directoty submisions its the best solution from time consumption point of view
33 emails in my spam folder from Jayde since last night! there you have it, I have been asked to confirm my submissions to Jayde, on average, 210 times in one week!
I know this is a silly question..but did you ever just confirm? I got a confirmation email for jayde ..until I confirmed. Then no more.
I just paid for manual directory submissions on about 20 domains , and MAN ..... Jayde is horrible with their confirmation emails ... Congratulations your site has been added to the Jayde.......... over and over and over
If you used some of the automated submission sites then you may have had your site submitted multiple times. It happened to me a while back and I couldn't figure out why at the time.
