Javescript or HTML which code is better?

Whenever I get an affiliate code, now, I always get the HTML version. That was my first choice and so I keep choosing HTML code out of habit.

Is there any reason to use the javascript choice. Is one better than the other?

Is there an SEO advantage to the HTML version?

What do you use and why? I am always looking to improve... :)

I like the HTML since I can modify the code. Yes you get content for SEO as well, BUT I think in time we may lose the html option. I hope not.

You cannot format how the javascript will look on your site. For more free advice read my read eBook you can download it from my sig. It's really spells out how I make money with CJ

    Good Luck

I hate the JS links. I use the html links because I can easily edit them, and make them look pretty.

If CJ ever try to drop the html links, I hope we can all kick up a communal stink!

as for SEO, there's so little text in those ads (most), I'm not sure if it would matter. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are right. I have modified the html a little bit on some of the product ads. I hadn't even thought of the code in this way though. That is an important difference between the HTML and javascript! I will have to look into being even a little bit more creative...

I think that although there is generally not much text in the CJ ads, even a little differentiation SEO-wise is one-up on my competition. I have always tried to make my ads a "part of the content" of my pages. (Suggestion: Think of a "product" as a way to place a relevant image on your page.)

Thanks for everyone's input so far!! :)
