    nofollow.

Although both aren't recommended. The reason I said nofollow is that currently I think only Google ignores nofollow links. The other search engines dont understand it or ignore the nofollow tag.

If the other search engines don't understand "nofollow", does it mean that using Html link with nofollow is not recommended cos it's leaking PR?

The only thing that I don't like Javascript link is because it slows down the page in client side.

I would stay away from javascript; though its probably a definite way to not include your things.
nofollow is what I use and last time I checked all the major engines support it; by major Im referring to the top 3 dogs: Google, Yahoo and MSN

    what is your purpose?

if you want to prevent pr passing, there is no difference between your two examples

I use html affiliate links in the past with nofollow, but it was said that nofollow is not truely nofollow and some search engine still court the link. I think it's may be bad for my PR.

I am a publisher of CJ and they provide both javascript links and html links. When I switch to javascript link, however, it take a longer time to load the page than html links.

I would like to use back html links because it doesn't slow down the web pages, but there may be down side, too. That why I ask open this thread.

This is the best (2) Html link with nofollow tag), simply because search engine don't check javascript.
