Very good post. This may be confusing to Linux users who aren't using Oracles Java, but are using some other open source version. I Googled and found some information, nothing authoritative that is black and white, but it appears that open java may be part of announcement. However, if you are using a web extension such as icetea then you should be good. I'm pulling open java 7 off my system just to be safe and using 6 as a fallback.
