I have no idea how much it cost living in Japan, but agree with you that they are a rapid technology growth country.

As far as I see that, people who live there are just too obsessed with money, so may be for them it's normal, but for us it's a bit weird
but such lifestyle always presupposes high standards of living

I don't know. I have never been to Japan. If their price level is the highest in the world, the wage level will also be the highest, otherwise people live there will leave to other cities.
